A Bit About Inu-Yasha

Half Demon Inu-Yasha and high preistess Kikyo were in love.  However, a demon by the name of Naraku wanted the jewel that Kikyo protected, the Shikon Jewel. He disguised himself as Inu-yasha, attacked Kikyo and took the jewel. Kikyo used the last of her strengh the pin Inu-yasha to a tree with her sacred arrow.  She told her younger sister to burn the jewel with her remains, and so for five hundred years, it was lost.  Fifteen-year old Kagome Higurashi was pulled into a well on the grounds of her family temple by a centipede demon. In a strange new land, she finds a boy with dog ears pinned to a tree.  The demon attacks again and she is forced to free the boy to slay the demon. In the fray, she is injured and the Shikon jewel is produced from her body.  The boy she freed was Inu-Yasha and she is the re-incarnation of the preistess, Kikyo.  By accident, the Shikon jewel is broken, and it's many pieces shoot off to parts unknown. To top it all, Naraku has reemerged! Inu-Yasha and Kagome set out to restore the Shikon Jewel, before Naraku claims it and uses it power for his evil purposes.
